Woodmere Annual Family Picnic

It was a beautiful Spring Day in Woodmere on Sunday, May 18th as current and alumni families gathered for the 22nd Annual Family Picnic. The park-like grounds were filled with activities for the children including a Petting Zoo, a Clown, Face Painting and Tattoos. Families and staff members gathered with their picnic lunches. Ice cream, snacks and beverages were available for purchasing.

Over 20 gift baskets containing everything from games and movies to restaurant and store gift certificates were raffled off, as were three grand prizes including an iPad, Four Hopper Passes to Disney’s Theme Parks, and a Tiffany Mystery Gift.

The Annual Picnic is a joint effort of the Woodmere Staff and the Parents Association. Christina Barone, a Social Worker, is the liaison to the Parents Association. Her untiring efforts in organizing the picnic, securing the prizes, and assigning volunteers was applauded by the entire Woodmere Staff. It was a great day for all who attended including students, parents, grandparents and staff with their own families.

The Clown is entertaining in the forefront and the Petting Zoo is in the back.
