Early Intervention Program

The Hebrew Academy for Special Children is a New York State provider of Early Intervention Services which are provided at our Spring Valley, Rockland County location. There are no out of pocket costs to the family. EI may access your health insurance to pay for some of the services without affecting your family’s benefits.

Early diagnosis and treatment are important in improving children’s competence and confidence in all areas of development. The sooner a child’s developmental delays are treated, the easier it is to effectuate change. Services are provided 12 months, 365 days a year to eligible children. Home and Center based Services are available. They include: Special Education, Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapies, Psychological Services, Parent Workshops and Service Coordination. Center based Services include: half day program (morning or afternoon), small groups, free transportation, Cholov Yisroel breakfast and snacks, adaptive computer use, assistive technology, music and animal therapy, in addition to the services listed above.

Early Intervention Program is available at our Spring Valley, Rockland County Location.

Once a child is found eligible for Early Intervention (EI), the family works with the evaluators and the county to identify the appropriate treatment services. Services must be authorized and arranged by the county.

The county, in conjunction with HASC, will arrange for service providers, considering the individual needs of each child and their family.
